Deleting your account

You can delete your Looped account yourself, from the app or from this page, and it takes effect immediately. Here is exactly how, what goes with it, and the one thing that stays.

From inside the app

Open your profile, scroll to "Deleting your account", and confirm. It runs immediately. There is no grace period and no scheduled cleanup later, because there is nothing to schedule: the moment it finishes, your data is gone.

From here, without the app

Looped is the same account on the web. Sign in at loopedthings.com with the Google account you joined with, open your profile, and use the same section. If you cannot sign in anymore, email pettigrewlabllc@gmail.com from the address on your account and we delete it for you.

What gets removed

Your profile, every answer you gave, your library, your connections, the invite codes you issued, the kudos and reactions you sent and received, your picture, and your sign-in. All of it in one pass.

What stays, and why

If somebody already saved one of your picks to their own library, their copy keeps the words they saved. Your name comes off it. That copy is theirs the way a text you sent someone is theirs. The anonymous weekly counts also stay, since nothing in them points at you.

If you only want the emails to stop

You do not have to delete anything for that. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom that works without signing in, and both email switches are on your profile. Signing out also deletes nothing.
