One topic a week, answered before anybody sees anybody.
Looped runs on one clock for everyone. The topic lands Monday at 8:00 AM Eastern and the answers open the Monday after, at the same hour. Here is the whole thing.
How does a week actually run?
Four steps, on one clock for everybody. The topic drops Monday, you answer any time in the seven days after, everything opens the following Monday, and then you go and try the good stuff.
- 01Monday, 8:00 AM Eastern
The week’s topic goes live
One question goes out to the whole network. Something like "the one app you open when you are bored", or "the best thing in your freezer right now". A person writes and approves every topic before it ships. It arrives by email, so there is nothing to scroll.
- 02Any time that week
You answer
Drop a link, a photo, or just type the thing out. Then write the part that helps: a sentence or two on why you like it. No rush, you have seven days. Not feeling the topic? Pass. You keep read-only access to the reveal, you just cannot save anything.
- 03The next Monday, 8:00 AM
Everything opens at once
Your reveal unlocks with the picks from people you are connected to. Nobody else, and no ranking. The next question lands in the same moment, so Monday morning is the one thing to look at. Answers lock when the reveal opens, so nobody rewrites theirs after seeing the room. Answer late and you still unlock that week.
- 04The weeks after
You save it, try it, and close the loop
Anything worth keeping goes to your vault as "to try". When you get around to it, mark it tried and tell the person whether it was any good. That last part is the one every other recommendation app skips.
How do you get in?
A member hands you a code. That is the only door, and ten codes each is the whole growth plan.
Every member gets ten. Not ten a month, ten. Handing one over should feel like giving something away, because it is.
Connecting with someone who is already a member costs you nothing. Send a request, they accept with one tap, and from that Monday on you show up in each other’s reveals. So when your sister joins on your invite, everyone else in your circle can connect with her for free.
Connections are mutual and private. There are no follower counts, and no two people see the same reveal.
What are the house rules?
Three of them, and they are permanent. No ranking, no brands, no affiliate links. These are not features we have not gotten to yet. They are the point.
No likes, no followers, no algorithm
There is no counter to grow and no ranking to game. Every pick from every connection gets the same room, in the order people answered.
No brands
Accounts are for people. No company profiles, no sponsored topics, and no way to buy into anyone’s reveal.
No affiliate links
Nobody earns anything when you take a recommendation. Once a pick pays the person who posted it, it stops being a recommendation.
What else do people ask?
- What happens if I pass on a topic?
- You still get the reveal, you just can't collect from it. Passing takes two seconds and keeps your read-only access, so you see every pick your connections made that week. What you lose is saving. Nothing from a week you passed on can go into your vault.
- Can I edit my answer after the reveal opens?
- No. You can rewrite your pick as many times as you like during the week, but edits stop the moment the reveal opens. That is enforced in the database, not just in the interface, so nobody can read the room first and then improve their answer to match.
- How do I get an invite?
- A member hands you one of theirs. Every member gets ten, total, not ten a month, so people spend them slowly. If you don't know anyone yet, leave your email on the waitlist and we'll write when one frees up. Connecting to someone who's already in costs you nothing.
- When exactly does the reveal open?
- Monday at 8:00 AM Eastern, seven days after that week's topic went out. It is the same instant the next question drops, so Monday morning is the only thing to check. Answer late and you still unlock that week. There is no second event later on.
- Who can see my answers?
- Only the people you are connected to, and only after they have put their own answer in. Connections are mutual and private, so no two people see the same reveal. There are no follower counts and no public profiles. The database enforces this, not the interface.
- What if I miss a week?
- Nothing breaks. There's no streak to lose and no penalty. You just don't see that week's reveal until you put an answer in, and answering late still opens it. Otherwise the next topic lands the following Monday morning and you carry on as normal.
