Privacy
The short version: we keep as little as the product needs, and we share none of it. Looped is a small private network run by Pettigrew Lab, and it only works because what you write stays between you and the people you chose. Here is the longer version.
What we store
Your name and email address from Google or Apple sign-in, the picks you submit, the things you save and mark as tried, who you are connected to, and a profile photo if you choose to add one. That is the whole list. If you sign in with Apple and choose Hide My Email, the relay address is all we ever get.
Who can see your picks
Only people you are connected to, and only after they have answered the same question themselves. The database enforces that, not just the interface. Someone who has not answered cannot read your answer even if they go looking for it.
What we never do
We do not sell your data. We do not run ads, and no brand has an account here. Nobody on Looped is paid for a pick, and no company can buy its way into one.
One a week: it goes out Sunday at 8:00 AM Eastern with the new question and your reveals from the week. Every one has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and it works without signing in. One click stops all of it, including the optional nudge the evening before a question. Turning the email off does not affect your account.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics and Microsoft Clarity on the website to see which pages people use and where they get stuck. Neither one gets your picks or the contents of your library, and neither one runs inside the iPhone or Android app at all.
Deleting your account
You can do it yourself from your profile, and it takes effect immediately: profile, picks, saves, and connections all go. If you can't sign in anymore, email pettigrewlabllc@gmail.com from the address on your account and we do it for you. One thing to know: picks other people already saved to their own library keep the text they saved, without your name attached.
